Thanksgiving 2010
Tom and I have been attempting to master turkey for the entire 7 years of our married life. I think we had some early success when we celebrated with our friends/neighbors in Dallas, but since the kids were born, we've had several quiet Thanksgivings with mediocre food which took all day to prepare and was appreciated only by the cooks.
However, this year, was one for the history books. We were able to host Tom's sister, Mary, as well one of Tom's coworkers and her family. That alone made this year special. We also had much more success with the turkey (although, we won't say "mastered" yet). And, we added a new favorite side dish, Chinese Sticky Rice. We had much to be thankful for this year and it was a blessing to be able to give thanks with friends and family.
